Send UAE Dirham to US Dollar
AED→USD is the dirham’s anchor rate — fixed by design, so it barely moves.
The dirham is pegged to the US dollar at 3.6725 by the Central Bank of the UAE, a rate in force since 1997. So AED→USD sits at almost exactly 0.2723 — the inverse of the peg — day after day, and the flat line you see is the peg working, not missing data.
Because the rate is effectively fixed, it is one of the calmest rates you can check. The peg also means the dirham travels with the dollar: when the dollar strengthens or weakens against other currencies, the dirham moves with it, so the dirham’s rate against the euro, the rupee or the pound is really a US-dollar story.

What it really costs to send
Because the dirham is fixed to the US dollar, this rate barely moves — so the gap between the mid-market rate and what you actually get is not rate movement at all: it is the margin a bank, card or exchange house adds on top of the mid-market rate, plus any fee. We don’t publish any single provider’s rate or promise a saving — compare the mid-market rate here against the all-in total your service quotes, fee included, to see that margin for what it is.
