Editorial policy

What we publish — and what we won't.

currency.ae exists to answer one question honestly: what is a currency really worth? That only means something if you can trust every number and every sentence on the page. This is the standard we hold ourselves to — publicly, so you can hold us to it too.

What we publish

• Real data, not estimates dressed as facts. Every rate is the live mid-market midpoint — the middle of the interbank buy and sell price — sourced from a named data provider and refreshed about every 60 seconds. How each number is produced is set out in our Methodology.
• Per-pair substance backed by numbers. On a pair page, the rate, inverse, conversion tables and the 7-day / 30-day / 52-week ranges are all computed from that pair's own data — never templated filler.
• Honest, range-aware verdicts. Our one-line timing verdict describes only what the data shows over the window you're viewing. A flat pair reads "held steady"; we never manufacture a trend that isn't there.
• Clearly-labelled estimates. Where we illustrate typical costs (the True cost page), every figure is a hedged range drawn from cited, neutral sources — never a precise number we can't defend.
• Sourced facts with review dates. Facts that can age — a currency's peg, its central bank, its history — carry named sources and a visible date they were last reviewed.

What we refuse to publish

• Invented analysis or forecasts. We do not predict where a rate is going, tell you when to buy, or write market "commentary" we can't source. There is no such thing as a confident guess here.
• Unsourced claims about economies. Any statement about why a currency moves is either a structural fact (for example, a currency's peg) or attributed to a named source. There is no "general knowledge" in between.
• Named-institution pricing or fabricated fees. We never claim what a specific bank or exchange charges, and we never invent a fee. Cost illustrations are typical ranges by category, never a named provider's quote.
• Filler built for search engines. No thin templated pages, no fake "frequently asked questions," no padding. A page ships only if it is genuinely useful.
• Advertising or paid placement. No ads, no affiliate links, no sponsored rankings, ever. Nobody can pay to change what a number says.

When we can't stand fully behind a number

We label it or leave it out — we never disguise it. Gold is shown as PAXG, a tokenized proxy, and labelled as such rather than presented as an official spot price. When live data is delayed, we say so and show the last confirmed time — never a "live" badge on a stale number. Where a pair has no history (gold and crypto), we simply omit the history rather than fabricate one.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, we want to fix it. Email [email protected] with the page and the issue. We correct verified errors promptly, and where a correction touches a fact that carries a review date, we update that date so you can see it was checked.
