Thai Baht (THB)
The Thai baht (THB) is the official currency of Thailand, divided into 100 satang. It has floated on a managed basis since 1997 and is issued by the Bank of Thailand.

Exchange-rate regime
Managed float. The baht has floated on a managed basis since 2 July 1997, when the Bank of Thailand ended its basket peg — the event that triggered the Asian financial crisis. The rate is market-determined, with the Bank intervening to limit volatility.

One baht is divided into 100 satang. Coins: 25 and 50 satang and 1, 2, 5 and 10 baht. Banknotes: 20, 50, 100, 500 and 1,000 baht, issued by the Bank of Thailand.
